Our Director of Quality Improvement is Susan Griffin, LCSW/ACSW. Mrs. Griffin has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama. She has been employed with APS since 1984 and has held several positions during her tenure. She was initially a therapist with APS, then for several years was a clinician within the Office of Quality Improvement. In 2003, she assumed the position as Director of Partial Hospitalization Programs, and has now been the Director of Quality Improvement since early 2006. Mrs. Griffin has experience in treating patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders, as well as training in the areas of quality improvement and risk management. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Office of Quality Improvement and supervises both clinical and non-clinical staff within the department.
