Alabama Psychiatric Services, P.C. (APS) is a private psychiatric practice that is owned and operated by practicing physicians. APS is the primary provider for Managed Health Care Administration, Inc. (MHCA), a managed behavioral health care company. Our physicians oversee the provision of care and services to our patients.
MHCA is accredited by URAC , an independent accrediting body that promotes healthcare quality, as a Health Network.
All APS clinicians are credentialed by the Quality Improvement Department of MHCA and licensed in their respective professional disciplines through the State of Alabama.

Over the years, the practice has expanded from a small number of professionals located primarily in the Birmingham area, to 11 offices in the major populated areas of the state. Additional affiliate providers are available in several locations.
